Reporter: Were you at all surprised that they came to your side a couple of times today?
King: I was excited. I was ready. I was on my toes. Like Scrap always says, you gotta be on your toes like a midget at a urinal. That’s what we were like today.
Question: When you determine that Andrew Quarless can return, do you anticipate there to be competition for playing time at tight end?
Paterno’s Answer: Well, whenever we decide that Quarless oughtta be in the competition, he’ll have to beat out Shuler. He’ll have to beat out Lyons, too. He’s not going to get the job. He obviously last year was a starter but I’m not going to say, ‘OK, give me a hug, alright, you’re our starter.’ He’s going to have to work his way in there.
